MY STORY

Hi guys, I'm Shaula. I grew up in Jeffreys Bay, Eastern Cape, which can explain my love for the beach, sun and my superpower to seek out wind-free nooks.

Studied and worked for a bit in the Western Cape, Stellenbosch & Cape Town area with a BA Degree in Photography and Applied Design from Stellenbosch. Beautiful fun place, but not enjoying the traffic and cold water and weather I decided to move back to my hometown Jeffreys Bay, where the ocean is a 2minute walk.

I travel all over Eastern Cape & Western Cape for weddings, love seeing new places, views & vibes. Always game for a bit of magic.

I’m pretty down to earth and enjoy making people feel pretty comfortable in front of the camera.

Photo sessions for me, that guides my style, is capturing the essence of micro moments, telling the story of love, joy and heartfelt emotions. Those are the ones that you remember. That quick glance, real laugh, shy smile, the feeling you felt at that moment.

With a romantic edge, a happy couple and natural light, magic infuses into the lens and into a lasting photo.

Each wedding is captured with a different approach, because each story and couple is unique. As a photographer you play to the beauty of every couples vibe / bond. Which means every couple’s photos look different and authentic.

I work as a full time wedding, elopement and lifestyle portrait photographer. Capturing, editing and wedding schedule design takes up most of my time.

I’m not a huge fan of social media, but do post previews and stories every so often. Most of my clients are from word of mouth, from other happy & ecstatic couples.

With the rest of my time, I’m usually on the beach, on nature walks or little adventures. Basically anything that is outside. Throw in a glass of red and my doggo and I’m golden.
